Panda Reproduction

Female Panda bears reach sexual maturity after 5-6 years.

Mating begins in late-March and continues on into May. Giant pandas are the smallest newborn of any nonmarsupial mammal (about the size of a stick of butter), they are born blind and they grow very slowly. Cubs stay with their mothers from one and a half to three years.
